Garden Rewards Club

Sargent's Storefront on Party Night 2009Thank you to all who joined in our fifth annual Garden Club party July 8th, 2009! This special evening has grown to become a summer highlight at Sargent's, and we were thrilled to be able to share it with so many of you.

We were proud to donate 5% of sales that evening to Mayowood's Garden Restoration Project. Thank you to the Mayowood volunteers for setting up your informative booths and answering all of our questions about the project. Also, thanks to the Zumbro Valley Audubon Society for your information booth at Sargent's on 2nd. Of course, gardens and birds go hand-in-hand and it is was wonderful to have the opportunity to learn more.

Lucky prize winners at both stores took home Weber Q Grills, free on-site consultations with our professional landscape design staff and $100 in plant material, 4 months of fresh floral bouquets from Sargent's Floral and Gift, and $150 Sargent's shopping sprees!

This year we also featured artwork from several talented local artists including: potter Amy Cass, the students of the late Bob Fifield, jewelry/multimedia artists Marit Lomen and Stacy Drenckhahn, painter/illustrator Carol Kinion-Copeland, and potter Dave Munz. Jake Donze and Cam Waters rounded out the parties at both stores with wonderful live Folk Rock music.Greeting Party Guests These gifted locals artists all added unique flavor to the party, and we were grateful to be able to share their work with you. We are also delight to carry Amy Cass (Sargent's on 2nd) and Dave Munz's (Sargent's North) pieces in our garden centers.

Also at Sargent's on 2nd, with their hand crafted items, were soap artisan, Amy Brooks, of Brooks Bubbles, and woodworker Jim Kohls. Sargent's on 2nd carries Jim's sturdy and beautiful Western Cedar Adirondack chairs and Amy's all natural soaps. Sargent's North hosted birdhouse makers Merry and Annalise. Merry is on staff at Sargent's North and this mother/daughter team's funky, fun birdhouses can be found at Sargent's North throughout the season. Cheryl Boyd of Nature's Own...Leaves by Cheryl was also on hand with popular leaf impressed bird baths and more. A big thanks to this group of artisans too!Sargent's North's Pond
