Explanation of Design Services and Fees

Recognizing that excellent landscape design is critical for projects of all sizes, we offer a range of design services:

• The In-Store Design Consultation is recommended for small do-it-yourself
  projects in which design solutions can be generated without visiting your property. Please bring pictures, measurements and a sketch of the area to be worked on. A landscape planner and additional information will be provided when making your appointment to assist in this process.
  
  During your 1 hour appointment, a professional landscape designer will show you the recommended plants and materials, assist you in selection and, if desired, arrange for delivery.
  
  The fee for this service is $50 and is returned to you in the form of a $50 Sargent’s gift card.

• The On-Site Consultation is recommended for projects of limited area and complexity. In these situations the design solutions can be communicated verbally or with a quick sketch.
  
  A designer will meet you on-site to review the area(s) you need help with. They’ll offer suggestions or draw a quick sketch and provide approximate cost estimates for materials and labor. The designer can also offer basic do-it-yourself instructions and, if desired, make arrangements for delivery of materials.
  
  Receive the benefits of having one of our professional designers visit your site for a $100 fee which is returned to you in the form of a $100 gift card.

• The Landscape Plan Service is recommended for comprehensive projects that require design solutions which need to be communicated using a detailed, scaled drawing.
  
  With this service, one of our designers will walk your property with you and discuss what your needs and desires are. After the meeting they will measure and photograph the site as necessary. Finally, the designer will prepare a landscape plan and cost estimate listing all materials, labor and equipment necessary to build the project.
  
  Have a detailed plan prepared of your site for $300, which is fully refunded to you with a minimum of $900 in installation costs or purchases within one year from either Sargent's Rochester location.
  
  A particularly extensive project may require a slightly higher design fee. This will be determined by the designer after assessing the scope of the project on-site.
