2009 Wee Wednesday Schedule

At Sargent's, we are committed to helping kids get out and enjoy the great outdoors through gardening. We strive to provide a kid-friendly shopping experience along with quality kids programs for both preschool and school age children.

Introduce your little ones to the joy of gardening with Wee Wednesdays. These classes are designed for preschool and kindergarten aged children and held the THIRD Wednesday of each month April though December.

Each Wee Wednesday class has a 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. session. All classes include hands-on activities, a story, and a tasty treat. A $5 class fee covers supplies and snack. Please plan to stay with your child. To enroll your child or grandchild in these fun-filled classes, please call (507) 289-0022 today. Classes fill quickly.

Putting On The Press…Learn how to press flowers, leaves and even insects, make your own pressed flower magnets and capture summer beauty year long. Class Location: Sargent's North

August 19th
A Rainbow Of Fun…Discover the diversity of colors in the nature, play a color matching game in our gardens and even eat a rainbow! Class Location: Sargent's North

September 16th
Big Machines…Don’t miss this demo of the big machines we use to make beautiful your landscapes come alive. Class Location: Sargent's North

October 21st
It’s A-Maizing…Make a corn husk buddy and learn all about how corn is used today and has been throughout history. Class Location: Sargent's North

November 18th
It’s For The Birds...Make a Thanksgiving delight for your garden’s feathered friends. Class Location: Sargent's on 2nd

December 16th
My Wee Christmas Tree...Decorate your very own “wee” Christmas tree with oodles of sparkly, bright trimmings. This Wee Wednesday tradition will include a reading of Mr. Willoby’s Christmas Tree and a tree that lives long past the holiday season. Class Location: Sargent's on 2nd
