Yummy!
The pea pods are delicious and plentiful! This morning before work, I picked a container full to share with co-workers who thoroughly enjoyed the freshness and the flavor. The home grown goodies were a bigger hit than those donuts I brought in a couple weeks ago. They were a much healthier option, too. Unfortunately, donuts are a bit easier to purchase than tilling, planting, cultivating and harvesting...though I'd much rather do that! Many of my family and friends wonder how I can "garden" all day at work and then go home and garden. I never wonder- I thoroughly love working the land and watching plants grow. Now I have to admit that my vegetable and herb garden looks much better than my landscaping, but we are working on one thing at a time. And like you, there's always a project or four to be working on. For instance, my honey just cleared an area for a bigger perennial garden for me. It is next to our garden shed and an old outhouse, that we plan to repaint. Over the weekend I planted a few perennials in the area including 'Pink Punch' delphinium, 'Saucy and Strawberry Seduction' yarrow and 'Kopper King' hibiscus. They join other annuals and perennials from my future mother-in -laws garden.
