Now, that we’ve had a few days of sunshine, I feel alive and well again!
The past week has been a busy and exciting week for me, not only have I been planting a few of my cool-season vegetables and raking the lawn; I have been taking care of my ducklings, chicks and lambs. Yep, Wendy went Country Girl. Actually, I grew up on a farm in southeast Minnesota and have always enjoyed the outdoors with animals and plants. Radishes, onions, lettuce, and spinach are in the ground and will be joined this week by a few more items. A few of my perennials are poking through the ground, which is a delight to see. As many of you know, perennial gardening can be challenging, because it is not uncommon to lose perennial plants over the winter. Every year is different and so far things look prosperous!
On a garden center note, we’ve been working hard to prepare for all the annuals, herbs, tropicals, and perennials that will be coming in this week and next week. Both locations also have an awesome selection of pottery. Many of us see pottery like a pair of shoes, you always need more!
