As you read this, I am gathering ideas for my garden next year… by traveling to Seattle. Seattle, Washington has been coveted by many of my friends and co-workers as the place to see at any time of the year. The landscape is beautiful and the plants take your breath away. So I’m off to Seattle to see what everyone is talking about. I look forward to visiting many gardens and studying the variety of plants grown on the west coast.

Visiting other gardens is an excellent way to learn more about your garden and to discover new plants to use. Botanical gardens, arboretums, and your neighbor’s backyard rose garden are all gardens of interest. Throughout the summer, you will also find many local garden tours to attend. Some of the best ideas are not in a magazine, they’re in your friend’s garden!
