Warm weather and spring rains sure are keeping me busy! The garden center is bustling. Though the rush is on, I have managed to steal away from work to tend to some pressing matters in my own yard. Over the weekend, I applied Fertilome Crabgrass Preventer plus Lawn Food. Over time a few weeds have crept in, and I plan on using Weed-Free Zone to tackle some of the dandelions and the creeping charlie. The lawn is not too bad, but my goal for the summer is to get my lawn in tip top shape!

Pansies have been planted, along with a few other cool annuals. Juncus spiralis is one of my favorites. Come in and check it out. It is very unique! Herbs are also on the top priority list! I seeded a few earlier in the year, and I am hardening them off to put outside in containers. Rosemary, lavender, and oregano are herbs I will add to my collection of seeded basil, chives, and parsley. My containers of herbs will be right outside my kitchen, so I can use for cooking. If you are interested in learning more about herbs, check out some of the classes I’ll have later in the summer.
