Local artist, Diane Lund has spent a lifetime marveling at like items grouped in unexpected ways. like most artist, she sees grace and humor in a line, a shape or the items which result when lines and shapes are put together.

While attending a curriculum workshop with the Perpich Center in Minneapolis, Diane experienced glass blowing first hand at the foci Minnesota Center for Glass arts in St. Paul. Knowing that glass work at that level for her was an unrealistic pursuit, she began experimenting with fused glass.

The result has led to an honest appreciation for items made of glass. What others have little or no use of Diane gathers and plays with like puzzle pieces until she is pleased with the lines and shapes of the creative result - glass birdbaths.
